Supercell and King Alumni Antihero Raise $4.5M to Launch Extraction Shooter MISFITZ

Neil Long reports that a16z, Laton and Sisu put $4.5M into Antihero Studios, formed in 2024 by former Supercell and King staff. Per the piece, MISFITZ had already been tested by over 70,000 players (the final pre-alpha count reached 83,500+), and the studio was working with creators like KairosTime to build its community. CEO Brice Laville Saint-Martin says the game's extraction mechanics and art style are designed to encourage younger players to engage socially.
