MISFITZ vs ARC Raiders: Mobile Extraction vs PC Extraction Compared
There is no ARC Raiders on mobile, and Embark has not announced one. MISFITZ by Antihero Studios, made by ex-Supercell and King developers, is a social extraction game built for mobile, where you can team up with strangers mid-run. ARC Raiders by Embark Studios is a premium PC/console PvPvE extraction shooter built by ex-DICE veterans. Both are extraction games, made for different platforms and different evenings.

Two Different Philosophies of Extraction
Both are PvPvE extraction games, and in both the people you meet can change how it ends. In ARC Raiders, strangers team up informally, over proximity voice, while the ARC machines hunt everyone. In MISFITZ, alliances with strangers are a mechanic built into the game, on mobile, in runs of 2.5 to 7 minutes.
ARC Raiders, built by Patrick Söderlund's team at Embark Studios (the studio behind The Finals), leans into atmosphere and survival. You raid the surface, fight robot enemies called ARC, and extract through elevators and metro stations. The tension comes from a dangerous PvE world and the other raiders in it, who might shoot first or lend a hand. Raids last up to about 30 minutes. It tops our list of the best extraction shooters of 2026.
MISFITZ, built by Brice Laville Saint-Martin (6+ years as art director on Clash Royale at Supercell), Frank Yan (senior game designer on Brawl Stars at Supercell), and Andre Parodi (technical director on Candy Crush at King), takes a different route: alliances are part of the game itself. You can team up with anyone in the run, loot Relics together, fight off Trashbots, and then decide at the extraction point whether you leave together. Runs last 2.5 to 7 minutes.
The Platform Gap
ARC Raiders exists on PC and console. MISFITZ exists on mobile. There is no overlap. If you want extraction on mobile, ARC Raiders is not an option.
ARC Raiders topped Google's 2025 Year in Search list of trending games and had sold more than 16 million copies by Nexon's Q2 2026 results, less than a year after its October 2025 launch. It proved that the extraction genre can reach a mainstream audience beyond the hardcore Escape from Tarkov community. But it runs on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. No mobile version exists or has been announced. For extraction on your phone, here's how the mobile extraction shooters compare.
MISFITZ is built specifically for mobile. The top-down camera, the two joysticks with auto-aim, and runs of 2.5 to 7 minutes are designed for touchscreens. It's made for Gen Z mobile players, 58% of whom say games are their primary social space (more on why Gen Z plays together).
Raid Length and Run Length
A single ARC Raiders raid can last up to about 30 minutes, played at a desk or on the couch with a controller or keyboard. It's a sit-down experience, and that's part of its appeal.
A MISFITZ run lasts 2.5 to 7 minutes, short enough for a bus ride. In Antihero Studios' pre-alpha, 83,500+ players averaged 50 minutes a day across 3 sessions, and the stakes kept them coming back: players who died were 6% more likely to start a new run than players who extracted.
Monetization
ARC Raiders is a premium $40 game. Embark originally announced it as free-to-play, then switched to a paid model before launch.
MISFITZ is free to play, with in-app purchases.

The Bottom Line
The choice comes down to where you play and how long you have. ARC Raiders is a premium PC/console PvPvE shooter with raids of up to about 30 minutes, cinematic atmosphere and strangers teaming up over proximity voice. MISFITZ is a free social extraction game on mobile, with runs of 2.5 to 7 minutes and alliances built into the game.
ARC Raiders showed that extraction can go mainstream. MISFITZ brings extraction's tension to mobile, a few minutes at a time. Different platforms, same genre, and plenty of players will enjoy both. If Brawl Stars is in your rotation too, here's our take on games like Brawl Stars and ARC Raiders.
